Okay. Where did the idea for givemeastory.com com from?
I was watching the show Shark Tank. This guy came on who had a website where he draws pictures of cats for people. It was called givemeacat.com, but I can’t find it in my Googling right now.
It gave me the idea for this website. Everybody has a story that is worth being told. Some people have the venue and words to tell there story, but some people do not.
A venue to blog from
WordPress is a premiere blogging platform, and it has become a popular content management system (cms) for creating websites. I have found a local host, pdxtc.com. I know the owner, Scott Hendison…he is a great guy and a tech wizard. I am in the process of learning Search Engine Optimization (SEO) from him. This is important work, as it means the difference of everybody or nobody finding your website, or somewhere in between.
Words to tell a story
Everyone has a story, but not everyone has the words. I have a degree in technical journalism from Oregon State University. That degree is no longer offered there, but it was in the 80′s when I went there. I have done copy editing on and off through the years. I am good with words…I know what sounds good and what does not. I would like to share my talent with words.
